COTS exists to alleviate homelessness by providing an array of services that enable people to achieve self-sufficiency and obtain quality affordable housing. COTS also exists to advocate for long-term solutions to the problems of homelessness.

If you are seeking emergency shelter, please call COTS at (313) 831-3777. COTS provides shelter on a first come first served basis for men, women and children accompanied by their parent or guardian as long as we have space available. We do not reserve beds or maintain a waiting list for emergency shelter. If we do not have space available, we make referrals through the shelter hotline: (313) 963-7829 or (800) 274-3583.
