For More information on The Art of Family -

Over the last 40 years, COTS has helped hundreds of families build better lives and break the cycle of generational poverty. Through our innovative theory of change, Passport to Self-Sufficiency™, we have helped families address areas of opportunity and given them the tools they need to learn, grow, and thrive now and for generations to come.

None of this would be possible without the generous contributions that have helped our families build better futures for themselves. Your partnership is essential to ensure that families at COTS have access to the support and resources available to them as we continue to CREATE OPPORTUNITIES TO SUCCEED

Your gifts support families in reaching their housing, economic, health, education, and career goals as they strive to overcome homelessness and break the cycle of poverty for themselves, their next generation, and beyond. Your gift help to provide:

Basic needs such as shelter, food, clothing, diapers, and so much more. Supportive services such as case management, mobility coaching, and mentorship. Opportunities and experiences that serve to build social capital. Resources to support overall family stability. Your partnership helps families to solve problems and overcome barriers that have impacted their stability and well-being.

Did you know?

  • Having a valid will in place isn’t enough.

  • Assets you pass on outside of your will are called non-probate assets. They include lRAs, 401(k)s, pensions, life insurance policies, and certain bank and brokerage accounts.

  • If beneficiaries are properly set for these non-probate assets(opens in new window), ownership can transfer faster than your assets that must go through probate

Thanks to FreeWill, you can easily plan beneficiaries for your non-probate assets in one place. Plan my beneficiaries

Report a gift in your will or trust:
If you’ve left a gift to COTS in your estate plan, you can use the tool below to let us know!

It can often be difficult to plan and make sure that your gifts are used in line with your wishes if they are left unknown. But more importantly, we want to say thank you for considering our work as a part of your legacy.

We know that life circumstances can change and you may need to alter or reconsider your gift in the future. That’s all right — reporting your gift today does not obligate you now nor in the future. Report my gift
